Another break from a show and a colder day, but what remains is my desire to get the workout in, the “bed” I’m sleeping in has become more comfortable and I’ve managed to not sleep hungry anymore. Today is leg day and I have just the right things to try to gain that muscle, I hope that it will be just as satisfying as the past workouts have been and I can’t lie, in that I do feel lazy because of the break from performances and the sleep-in weather.
Note that this is similar to my Leg Workout Three, but is significantly different, definitely adds a different feel and activates more than just the legs. Try it out on your next leg day, I needed a proper warm-up this morning because it was extremely cold, I won’t get used to Grahamstown.
THE LEG WORKOUT
DURATION: 40 Minutes
REST TIME: 1 Minute
Goblet Squat – 3 x 20
Single Arm Lunge – 3 x 12
Single Leg RDL – 3 x 10
Calf Raises – 3 x 20
Dumbbell Swings – 3 x 10
The single arm – single leg exercises add more core activation which can help in improving your overall balance and strength, making you able to be stronger in the workout and add to the weight the next time you do the workout.
I’ve learnt to enjoy leg day, because I believe legs add the most to my body and bodies in general and since my goal at the moment is to gain that mass, it is important for me to enjoy training them and train them hard to get that pump. I hope you’ll try this one out on your next leg day, no matter how lazy you are!
