Peanut Butter Banana Shake Recipe


This is a high quality shake which can be used as a meal replacement for those who are in a rush and can’t get a prepared meal in. It tastes great and is not too thick in consistency when it is done right, try it out and share how it is for you.

NOTE: Requires blender



1/2 Cup Low Fat Milk

1 Banana

1/2 Cup Oats

1/2 Cup Low Fat Yogurt

1 Tbsp Peanut Butter

1 Cup Ice Cubes

Optional: 1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder


Calories: 413 – 478 Kcal

Carbohydrates: 59 – 61 g

Protein: 15 – 28 g

Fat: 13 – 14 g

The nutritional value ranges are based on adding the scoop of whey protein powder or not, the protein that I’m currently using is Muscle Works Nitro Whey – Limited Series. Any flavour should work, but I’d recommend double chocolate if you decide to buy it, it tastes great and blends well with other flavours that come into play in the smoothie. The yogurt can also be any flavour but I’d recommend plain or strawberry yogurt as I think it works best.


The shake will be between 600 – 700 ml when finished, so generally a 700 ml shaker will be best, unless, depending on your goals, you can have one glass a day throughout the week as a meal replacement, which would be about 2-3 glasses during the week. It is moderate calories so it can be adjusted to your specific requirements.

I just want to make clear that nothing is that special about the shake, it is just a meal replacement recipe that you can adjust according to what you need!
